On Wednesday, April 9, a historic moment takes place at Denmark’s largest commercial port as the first call of one of MSC’s container ships marks the launch of a new direct MSC route between Aarhus and the Asia. With weekly calls on this route going forward, business connections to the rest of the world will be strengthened.

The Port of Aarhus ended a stormy 2024 with a turnover of DKK 375 million. That is an increase of just under 10 percent compared to 2023. However, the overall result for 2024 is influenced by the political decision to pause the port expansion project.

The calendar says April 1st, and this means that the Port of Aarhus is no longer a municipal self-governing port. The port has just been converted into a joint stock company

The Port of Aarhus is expanding the Group of Directors with a new CPO to strengthen work on major, strategic infrastructure and development projects. The current CFO, Henrik Munch Jensen, will be appointed as the new CPO at Denmark's largest commercial port.
