After a thorough recruitment process, the board of directors of Port of Aarhus has found the port's new CEO. The choice has fallen on Ulrik Andersen, who comes from a position as municipal director in Thisted Municipality.

In 2025, Port of Aarhus set a new record with the highest container volumes in its history. Never before have so many containers been handled across the quays of Denmark’s largest commercial port.

Although the Port of Aarhus has worked with security and preparedness for many years, the port has recently further strengthened the monitoring of airspace due to the general threat picture. The initiative is carried out in close cooperation with the authorities and is intended to support the protection of the port as a critical infrastructure.
